NextStint is a planning application. This policy describes, in plain language, what data the app stores, where, and your rights under the GDPR.
Your data stays on your phone. There is no server, no account, no tracking. The only exception is payment — handled by Google Play or Stripe.
On your device (IndexedDB + browser local storage): driving blocks, breaks, rests and any activity you logged; planned trips; stopover points and addresses you searched; preferences (language, theme, notifications); cached subscription state.
We do not store: real name, ID number, plate, photos, contacts, continuous location. The optional first name entered during onboarding is used solely for the morning greeting and never leaves the device.
The app only requests location when you explicitly tap "Current location" on the map or in the planner. The coordinate is used once for the lookup you asked for and is not retained. We do not perform continuous or background tracking.
Map: tiles served by CARTO. Address lookup: queries sent to Nominatim (OpenStreetMap). Routes: route requests sent to OpenRouteService. Rest areas and fuel stations: queried from Overpass (OpenStreetMap).
Each service receives only what it needs to respond (the coordinate or the search term). Nothing about your trips, time blocks, or identity is sent.
Payment: the purchase is processed by Google Play (on the Play Store install) or by Stripe (on the web). Each applies its own privacy policy to the payment data.
Access and portability: Settings → Data → "Export backup". The JSON file contains everything the app knows about you.
Deletion: Settings → Data → "Delete all data". Wipes IndexedDB and local storage immediately. Because there is no server, there is nothing for us to delete on our side.
Rectification: you can edit or remove any block from Today or History. The first name can be edited in Settings.
For payment data (managed by Google Play / Stripe), use their respective portals.
The app is intended for professional drivers. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
If we change anything material, we update the date above and show a notice in the app before the next launch.
